As Miss Tourism Uganda gears up for its grand finale on September 14 at Kampala Serena Hotel, the competition is intensifying across the regional selections.

Over the weekend, the pageant made a vibrant stop in Karamoja to choose its representatives. The event began with contestants showcasing their traditional dresses, a colorful display of cultural heritage. This was followed by a rigorous question-and-answer session with the judges, where contestants demonstrated their knowledge of Uganda and its tourism industry.

The night concluded in the early hours of the morning with Akidi Rachel, 25, being crowned Miss Tourism Karamoja. Natyang Anastasia, 23, was named first runner-up, and Lokeris Jacinta, 20, took the second runner-up spot.

The competition has already traveled through eight regions: Buganda, Teso, West Nile, Ankole, Tooro, Rwenzori, Northern, and Eastern. This weekend, the pageant continues its journey in Bunyoro as the anticipation builds for the grand finale.
