As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSI), CHICO, the construction company upgrading the Kanungu-Kihihi-Rukungiri road, has donated 100 iron sheets to roof one of the classroom blocks at Katete Primary School, Katete Sub County in Kanungu district.
The iron sheets were handed over to the school administrators together with the parents, who were grateful to CHICO and the Resident District Commissioner Ambrose Mwesigye Amanyire for taking time to think about them and responding to their request positively.
The RDC Kanungu appreciated the parents of Katete Primary school for supporting the Government’s education plans through taking their children to school , this is after the headteacher reported that the primary school has more than 400 pupils regularly attending school.
The RDC further appreciated the school for reaching out to him about the need to roof the block adding that he doesn’t take any issue relating to education lightly.
During the same occassion, the area District councillor Hon Bizimana informed the school parents that it was through the RDC that the iron sheets were secured and thanked him for creating good and useful relations with CHICO.
