Evangelist Morris Katende Sues Dr. T Amale for Defamation in Accordance with the Computer Misuse Act

Reports on our news desk indicate that local comedian Tobby Innocent Kafeero alias Dr. T Amale has been sued for maligning and defaming Evangelist Morris Katende contrary to the Computer Misuse Act.

According to the court records that this website has cited, Dr. T Amale published a video on his Facebook page Volongoto on October 20, 2022, in which he is heard calling Evangelist Morris Katende a fraud who preaches the gospel while under the influence of ancestral evil spirits and a beggar, among other defamatory statements.

The comedian further made it known that Evangelist Morris Katende has ever reached out to him at Bukedde, and asked for financial relief something which depicted the pastor as an irresponsible preacher who cannot save what he earns and lives a wasteful life.

Upon Evangelist Morris Katende crossing paths with the video, he was rubbed the wrong way, before filing a case at Jinja Road Police station under SD Ref: 67/10/11/2022.

Morris went ahead through his lawyers the Makada and Partners Advocates and issued an intention to sue, which urged Dr. T Amale within three days to pull down the defamatory video from his Volongoto page, and everywhere he published it.

T. Amale was also required to apologize via his Vologoto page, and he had to wait seven days before updating the page with new content.

Additionally, Dr. T Amale was required to send a printed copy of his apology to his evangelist Morris Katende along with a promise not to make the same error again which he failed to comply with.

Morris Katende was compelled to pursue the matter as a result, and information that has reached us indicates that T. Amale has been apprehended by Kira Road Police station where he is awaiting to be charged with violating the Computer Misuse Act which was put into service a few months back.
