I Would love to Host MC Mariachi in Kenya, but He Doesn’t Speak English

Comedian Eric Omondi has expressed interest in hiring MC Mariachi in Kenya, but the latter does not speak English.

On 28th October 2022, Patrick Salvador held his 5th edition of the Africa Laughs at Kololo Airstrip.

Among the performers, was Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi who put up an exhilarating performance.

Before fleeing the country, Eric spoke to the media, and it was there that the comedian named some of his favorite Ugandan comedians.

He revealed that Mc Mariachi is extremely talented and that he would love to host him in Kenya, but the only problem is that he does not speak English.

Eric likened Mariachi to Tanzanian comedians who perform in Swahili, before advising him that English is the only way he can break into the international market.

In the same vein, Eric Omondi urged east African governments to support the entertainment industry because it is the only way to improve young people’s livelihoods since the industry employs nearly half of the young people’s population.
