Mafabi Asha Nabulo urges Government to develop & enact a legal framework to transform farmers – Showbizuganda

Sironko District Woman MP Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo has tabled a motion urging government to develop and enact a legal framework for the national smallholder farmers’ transformation and climate resilience programme.

This website has established that, Hon. Mafabi wants smallholder farmers who continue to face persistent challenges which undermine their productivity and profitability prepared, protected and empowered.

According to her the competitiveness of smallholder agriculture across the country is low yet once this programme is implemented, Uganda would be able to feed the whole of East and Central Africa and 89% of small scale farmers will be lifted out of poverty and will have enough food thus improving the health and life expectancy of our population.

The Motion is expected to be supported by all understanding and caring MPs including her voters in Sironko who are predominantly small holder farmers in the shops of Mt Elgon.

Analysts say , No MP has ever thought of such a wonderful and magical Policy till Hon Mafabi Asha Nabulo had come up.
