In a remarkable shift from last year’s location at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo, the highly anticipated Oktoberfest 2023 is set to take place at the heart of Kampala, Lugogo Cricket Oval. The announcement was made by Denis Asiimwe, the festival organizer, during the launch of the event at The Villa in Bukoto on Tuesday.

This year’s Oktoberfest promises to be an even grander affair, offering a vibrant fusion of culinary delights, refreshing beverages, electrifying music performances, and entertainment. Speaking about the event, Asiimwe stated, “This year’s edition will have a lot of musicality to it, evident in the strong lineup of artists that we are bringing.”

To ensure everyone has the chance to savor the festival’s offerings, gates will open at midday, allowing attendees to enjoy a delicious lunch as part of the show’s experience.

The main attractions of Oktoberfest 2023 will be the headlining performances by Leone Island’s Jose Chameleone and the sensational Cindy Sanyu. Additionally, the festival will feature a diverse range of artists, including Abeeka Band, Kohen Jaycee, Izabel Ras B, Dolv Gvng Chevank Bad Citizen, and many others, ensuring an unforgettable musical journey.

Oktoberfest is well-supported by several sponsors, notably Nile Breweries, who continue to champion this annual celebration.

In a delightful tradition carried over from the previous year, Brussels Airlines is once again offering a fully paid ticket to Europe for the best-dressed individuals at the festival.

The Ugandan rendition of Oktoberfest, originally rooted in Germany, aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Uganda and Germany while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of both nations.

For those eager to secure their spot at this spectacular event, early bird tickets are available for Shs 30k, with an option to pay Shs 40k at the gate using Stanbic’s Flexi Pay, or Shs 50k for those who prefer cash payment.
