Ms. Samantha Barungi Muhwezi, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) and daughter to Rujumbura County MP, Hon. Jim Muhwezi, has earned widespread praise for her brilliance.
Samantha recently was speaking in Rwanda at the prestigious Africa Mindset Reset Forum, where she eloquently shared insights on Uganda’s oil journey and its significance to the African continent.
Describing it as a story of sovereignty, stewardship, and resilience, Ms. Samantha said she was deeply honoured to tell Uganda’s oil story to Africa.
“Deeply honoured to share Uganda’s oil story – a story of sovereignty, stewardship and resilience,” she said.

Sources at the forum described her presentation as brilliant and impactful.
Her mother, Mrs. Susan Kabonero Muhwezi, could not hide her pride and took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to celebrate her daughter.
“Glory to God for you my daughter,” she posted.

Samantha Barungi Muhwezi continues to be recognized as one of Uganda’s most brilliant and accomplished young corporate leaders.
